Lanceleaf Cottonwood

Lanceleaf Cottonwood is a tough native shade tree, a natural cross between narrowleaf and plains cottonwood. It puts on size fast and holds up to wind, alkaline soil, and the dry stretches that wear other trees down. Good pick for a windbreak, shelterbelt, or any spot in the yard that needs shade in a hurry. Plant in full sun and give it room, the roots run wide and the canopy follows.
