Hotwings Tartarian Maple

Hotwings is a tough little Tartarian maple that handles wind, cold, and dry ground better than most ornamental trees. The big draw is the bright red samaras in midsummer, which hang on long after the flowers are done and look like the tree is in bloom a second time. Good choice for a small yard, a patio tree, or anywhere you want some color without a lot of fuss. Plant in full sun and well-drained soil.
